Rapid fire risk reduction

An intensive, hands-on program to quickly reduce fire risk and ensure recommended improvements are implemented effectively. This is an accelerated alternative to the Fire Risk Initiative, incorporating all of its services along with additional dedicated support. The program is designed to significantly reduce fire risk by the end of the second visit, with the third visit evaluation expected to demonstrate a substantial decrease in the Fire Risk Score. Fire safety is a group effort, and lasting improvements depend on the commitment and engagement of facility personnel.

Baseline Assessment

The first step is a complete a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment, establishing a clear baseline for your facility’s overall fire risk and identifying key areas for improvement.

Action & Engagement (Month 2)

Up to four days of on-site support for designated facility personnel to address each item identified in the initial Fire Risk Assessment. Employee engagement training will also be provided to build ownership of the safety process.

Performance Check & Pre-Plan (Month 6)

Conduct a Fire Risk Assessment to verify that the improvements made after the Month 2 visit have been effective and that employees have taken ownership of safety. We will also work with facility management to invite the local fire department for a pre-planning tour of the facility. These tours help responders identify risks, available resources, and access points in an emergency. They also provide an opportunity to share facility response plans with the fire department, fostering a cooperative relationship moving forward.

Midpoint Review & Home Safety Outreach (Month 12)

Conduct a Fire Risk Assessment to verify a downward trend in Fire Risk. The same principles that control fire risk at home also apply to controlling fire risk in the workplace. Educating employees in home fire safety makes them more likely to engage in safe practices both at home and at work.

Final Benchmark (Month 24)

The final benchmark includes a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment to measure overall progress since the start of the program. While this marks the conclusion of our structured visits, fire risk is never static. Maintaining a strong safety culture requires continued attention, regular reviews, and proactive hazard management long after the assessment is complete.

Ongoing Problem Solving and Fire Prevention Support

As managers roll out this Fire Safety and Prevention Initiative, their questions and concerns will be addressed attentively. All corporate and plant management will have access to ongoing fire prevention support throughout the term of the initiative.
